Abstract :
It is well known that the wave forms of pulse waves in humans are chaotic. Pulse waves of subjects over a wide age range were measured at the brachial artery, and their embedding dimensions and the numbers of active degrees of freedom of the dynamics (dLs) were calculated using global and local false nearest neighbor methods. The d Ls tend to decrease as the subject´s age increases
