Abstract :
In this paper, a pattern synthesis method for linear array is proposed. This method is based on the unit-excitation pattern theory. By calculating the mutual coupling equivalent excitation value, we can directly express the actual antenna array pattern in terms of the combination of the ideal element patterns. The mutual coupling is considered in the pattern synthesis. Finally, two simulation results are given to show the effectiveness of this method.
