Abstract :
In this research, based on the case study in Nanjing and Fukuoka, the relations between the components and the impression evaluation of restaurants´ facades in city centre are shown. In a series of surveys and analysis, it is clear that the relevancies between quality factors and facade´s components, such as the shape of windows, colors´ tone, sign boards, the size of shop name´s characters, advertisements, chairs, tables and plants and so on, are very strong. The facades´ open rate and several materials are closely connected with openness factors. Abstract and figurative decoration components are connected with feature factors. It is important that the first step to form comfort or high quality of restaurants´ design in city centre is to think about the relations between impression evaluation and components, and then go on to the restaurant facades´ proposal or plan.
