Abstract :
We proposed here a new wavelet-based approach for Heart Rate Variability (HRV) analysis. In order to obtain the correct power for the LF and HF bands in the HRV signal, we decomposed the signal by the complex discrete wavelet transform (CDWT) and calculated the power by the square moduli of CDWT complex-valued components. We confirmed the effectiveness of our method by applying it to simulation data (sine wave) and experimental data
