Abstract :
The theoretical analysis of a multifrequency regime of excitation of coaxial slow-wave structure shows perspectives of such transmission line for manufacturing of the microwave devices, capable to work simultaneously on several frequencies. Changing the energy of electron beam, it is possible to control the amplitude-frequency spectrum of output multifrequency signal. There are such energies of electrons beam for which it is realized simultaneous amplification of all waves. The complete efficiency of the amplifier at increasing number of launched waves remains high enough. Numerical calculations allowed to make conclusion about necessity of the account of excitation of combination components as due to their excitation and further amplification makes it possible to obtain a broadband output signal of device. In this case, an initial narrow-band signal is broaden, substantially due to amplification with high-frequency components.
