Abstract :
In this paper we propose a nonlinear observer based on the sliding mode approach. This method is very attractive due to its easy design and implementation as well as its direct consideration of modelling errors. This observer is introduced in a variable structure control strategy. After presenting the global control scheme and the principle of variable structure observers, the obtained performances are studied
