Abstract
In this paper, the application of the polarization principle of phase changing permits to design low-loss phase shifters operating at microwave frequencies with the total loss less than 1 dB at Ka band and less than 0.5 dB at X-band. The spiraphase-type arrays based on the proposed phase shifting element demonstrate the wide-angle scanning combined with the acceptable conversion characteristics.
