A newly developed single-chip LSI for HD DVD/DVD/CD

HD DVD is being developed rapidly as the next-generation DVD. To achieve downsizing and low power consumption of the LSI, we developed a single-chip LSI which includes HD DVD signal processing circuit, DVD/CD signal processing circuit and CPU. The new digital read channel provides high readout performance. A progressed ECC (error correction code) core realizes high error correcting performance, contributing to the LSI downsizing.
