Abstract :
Let A be a ntimesn complex matrix associated with f(2)=zn+a1zn-1+...+an-1z+an, W(A)={x*Ax:xisinCn|x=1}denotes the numerical range of A . In this paper, we discuss the properties of the Kippenhahn curve CR(A) firstly, and then discuss the necessary condition of W(A) being an elliptic disc by means of the Kronecker product of matrices and the Kippenhahn curve CR(A).
