Abstract :
This paper presents preliminary results on protection measures aiming at minimizing the impact of short-term voltage instability in a part of a power system with large wind power penetration in the form of wind farms equipped with simple induction generators. It is seen that strict protection settings on the induction machines most prone to instability can achieve this goal
