Abstract :
A favorable generalized subband approximation for multidimensional signals has been presented by T. Kida and H. Mochizuki (1992). In this result, all the interpolation functions have different functional forms in general. In this paper, initially it is assumed that the interpolation functions have different functional forms. However, the resultant optimum interpolation functions are expressed as the parallel shifts of the finite number of the n-dimensional functions
