Abstract :
A method for equalization of a digital land mobile radio channel is presented. In wideband time division multiple access digital mobile radio transmission, the received signal is severely degraded by frequency-selective fading due to multipath propagation. Highly severe degradation occurs in the nonminimum phase state of the channel (where the level of the delayed wave is larger than that of the direct wave). A method for improving the equalizer performance in the nonminimum phase state with optimal estimation of channel impulse responses is proposed. Remarkable improvement in MSE of the equalizer output was achieved by the proposed method
