Abstract
A spatial antenna structure is proposed which is able to resolve azimuth and elevation angles (φi, θi) in direction-of-arrival measurements in the full range φi∈[0, 2π⟩, θi ∈ [0, π]. The antenna structure, called a 3-axis crossed array, consists of three linear arrays mounted at right angles on each other. An ESPRIT based technique that perform joint determination of azimuth and elevation angles is developed. Simulation results are presented that demonstrate the validity of the developed mathematics
