  • Abstract
Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) is being considered for mobile communications. This scheme has proven to be very efficient in high communications and for communications over dispersive channels. One of the main obstacles against OFDM is its signal envelope fluctuations. In previous work, a reduced mobile complexity scheme for OFDM has been proposed and analyzed. The envelope fluctuations have been studied and analyzed for a special case of unlimited gain correction. In this paper, a generalized analysis on envelope fluctuations is performed. This analysis includes the effect of varying the gain correction limit on envelope fluctuations in order to find its optimum value
