Abstract :
Summary form only given. The Manufacturing Engineering Program has initiated the development of manufacturing across the (undergraduate) curriculum. The project is based on a pilot version offered during the 1997-98 academic year. This paper describes how the goal of the project is to develop and deliver a program, available across engineering disciplines, that prepares Polytechnic´s bachelors degree engineering graduates to be productive manufacturing practitioners and to be, by virtue of a rigorous understanding of manufacturing engineering, effective product engineers and designers.
