Abstract
On the basis of crosstalk studies it is shown in this paper how the performance of WDM cross connects scales with the number of wavelengths and the number of input/output fibres. For three different optical cross connect topologies conclusions can be drawn on the best trade off between wavelengths and fibres for a given capacity
