Abstract :
In order to study the electromagnetic pulse coupling effect of multi-conductor shielded cable, a five-parallel-line test structure with free adjusting space is designed for pulse current injection test. The pulse source with nano-second rising time is also designed to produce large current. Several kinds of multi-conductor cables are tested in the established system and their surface transfer impedance as well as their shielding effectiveness is obtained in time-domain. A comparison of the time-domain test result to the frequency-domain test result is presented.
