Abstract
BCG artifact is a collective term used to represent EEG contaminating potentials caused by the cardiac cycle. The removal of BCG artifacts from EEG recorded during continuous fMRI is a problem whose importance has long been established. The Joint Approximation Diagonalisation of Eigenmatrices (JADE) method for BCG removal is studied. The result demonstrates that the JADE is a generally applicable and effective method for removing BCG artifacts from EEG recorded during continuous fMRI.
