Abstract
As Color Doppler Ultrasonic Instruments are widely produced, standard equipments to test their quality are indispensible. The paper puts forward a design of quality test device for Transcranial Doppler imaging system (TCD). The design, called blood string phantom, can simulate waveform of human blood flow, serving as measured object of TCD. By analyzing velocity, frequency and characteristics of the waveform, the paper brings up algorithms to simulate various waveforms as well as to smoothen these simulated waveforms. In our experiments, a TCD machine measured the imitated blood stream made by Doppler string phantom. The TCD output images were almost identical with the real-time display on Doppler string phantom of the simulated waveforms. The results have proved the design is quite suitable for engineering application.
