Abstract :
Extraordinary magnetoresistance (EMR) devices hold a large potential and rise quickly recently. We utilize the FEM tools to establish the EMR modelling that is very good agreement with the experimental results. On this basis, the low-field sensitivity in EMR sensors with classical van der Pauw structure became our research emphasis. Through the optimized design to the geometry parameter include filling factor and the position of voltage measurement points, we find that not only the low-filed sensitivity will be drastically enhanced in optimum configuration, but also the linearity of response is improved. It suggests that EMR sensors still hold on to the advantage position, and our research will be helpful to the manufacture of the magnetic field sensors.
