Abstract :
In this paper we study fundamental limitations of disturbance attenuation problems. In a general "four-block" configuration the performance output is different from the measured output. Using the measured output alone as feedback in some configurations could result in a closed-loop systems with poor stability margins. Stability robustness could be improved when the controller utilizes both the performance and measured outputs.
