Abstract :
Traditional routing protocols work only in the presence of end-to-end connectivity. They fail to route messages in a highly dynamic and disrupted network. From the beginning of last decade, delay-tolerant routing protocols have been developed and deployed for challenged areas and applications. These routing protocols are able to route messages in a challenged network environment that is either highly mobile or static with sparse population. In this paper, we have described a simulator - DTNRSIM - to evaluate various routing protocols designed for delay-tolerant networks. The simulator is written in Java and is usable on Windows platform.
