Grooming Future Engineers: All-girls robotics team thrives [Pipelining: Attractive Programs for Women]

A new robotics team at the all-girls high school at St. Mary´s Academy (SMA) in Cherry Hills Village, Colorado, is making waves in the robotics community. The SMAbotics team attended its first competitions in 2013 and 2014 and did well enough to compete in regionals in its first year. The team had a mix of eight girls in its first year, mainly juniors and seniors, and at the beginning of the team´s second year more than 20 with a wide range of interests will participate.
