Abstract
A concept of using distributed microwave coplanar sensors for nondestructive industrial measurements is explored. Basic properties of electromagnetic wave propagation in transmission lines loaded with test objects are discussed. An example of a coplanar sensor and the principles of its use in industry is outlined
