Abstract
To study the potential possibility of using ferroelectrics as emitters there is a problem of determination of the nature of emission effect in these materials, the factors and the methods controlling the emission signal in these materials. Now it is accepted to consider, that a reason for electron emission of ferroelectrics is the field of non-compensated charges of spontaneous polarization on the surface of the material. Reasons of origin of the indicated field are the temperature change, the influence of mechanical stresses and finally the direct field modifications of macroscopic polarization in ferroelectrics. Most strong emission effects arises at the switching of a sample in an external electric field. In the present work the connection of magnitudes, describing the emission processes, with parameters, determining the switching in ferroelectrics is experimentally and theoretically investigated
