  • Abstract
    A scheme of frequency-hopping/multiple-carrier frequency-diversity spread-spectrum multiple-access (FH/MCFD/SSMA/DPSK) wireless communication system is proposed. In such a system, the intra-cell interference is avoided by using FH technology and the inter-cell multiple access interference is averaged by using MCFD technology. In addition, both FH and MCFD can provide frequency-diversity which is effective to lessen multipath fading. The comparison with FH/SSMA systems shows that the performance can be improved greatly through multi-carrier frequency-diversity
