Aquatic alligator weed (Alternanthera philoxeroides), a invasive alien species, pose a serious threat to the environmental and economic values of farmlands and waterways. Most methods were limited considering the aspects of secondary pollution and inefficiency. Aimed to control alligator weed in northern China on the basis of ecological safely, an integrated technology combining physical control and river ecological restoration was discussed.
