China is one of the richest countries with coal resources and coalbed methane resources in the world, which have a good development prospect. With increasing mining depth of coal mine and development of coalbed methane, environmental problems are increasingly serious. Especially, environmental damage and pollution caused by produced water from coal mine and coalbed methane well is serious. In this paper, compared with surface water, characteristics of the produced water from coal mine and coalbed methane well were detailed investigated and analyzed in Liulin mining area. Moreover, the influences of produced water from coal mine and coalbed methane well on environment were discussed.
