Abstract
This paper proposed a coupled-fed PIFA antenna with LTE700, GSM850, GSM900, GSM1800, GSM1900, UMTS, LTE2300, and LTE2500 operating bands for 4G mobile system applications. The PIFA type antenna is accomplished by a 50-ohm microstrip line feeding mechanism and a shorted strip on left side of the T-shaped patch. The low frequency operating bands are obtained through three resonant modes, which are generated by two resonant paths. By adding two stacked copper plates on the path 2, the impedance matching can be improved to form wide frequency band. The overall dimension of 40×100×0.8 mm3 can be applied in today´s mobile devices.
