Abstract
The introduction of contour detection by computer support in ultrasound echocardiography has opened the way of computer aided illness detection of the heart. By defining local ejection fraction for heart wall segments, the dynamic behaviour of the heart was investigated. An inverse event recognition method is applied for finding the non-functioning heart wall segments, and therefore detecting the ischemic areas. The description of the system and basic equations are presented in this paper
