Juyan Lake is a typical inland lake ,due to water reduction from the upper reaches of Heihe river basin, many eco-environmental problems have emerged. To keep within limits the degradation trends of ecological environment, the state had carried an scheme of "water diversion" since 1999 which adoption of engineering measures to strengthen protection and construction of ecology among the upper, middle and lower reaches. In order to evaluate the influence of water regulation on Juyan Lake restoration. In this paper, Based on the means of field surveys and Statistics, we quantify the Juyan Lake area changes and comparing the effect of retoration on the vegetation of Juyan Lake. These results show that there are obvious effects of water regulation on the eco-environment restoration, and that the eco-environment is experiencing a good change in Juyan Lake of lower reaches of Heihe River basin.
