Abstract
A switched four-sector beam antenna for a wireless LAN system in the 60 GHz band has been developed. The antenna has a pyramidal configuration. Each isosceles triangular surface of the pyramid has been inclined 30° from the vertical axis, in order to cover from low elevation angles to the zenith direction. Four sector beams which have 900 half-power beam width can cover 360° in the azimuth plane. Each sector beam achieved more than 6.5 dBi and the axial ratio of less than 2.5 dB in the 59-60 GHz band
