Abstract
The ongoing revolution of information and communication technologies (ICT) has been changing the different aspects of life and transforming all cultural, industrial, economical and educational activities. In our disparate world characterized by major differences between income levels, religion, language, economic development, technology penetration, infrastructure, information access, and knowledge of people, it is essential to develop and implement integrated short term and long term programs to share the benefits of this "new brave world". In this regards, the situation of the developing countries is most crucial and challengeable. One of the most important factors that can help developing countries to bridge this meta-digital divide is human resource development (HRD) for information technology and the e-activity age.. The Islamic Republic of Iran is trying to be an effective part of the information age society among the developing countries. Despite the attractive capacity of Iran\´s human resources and regarding the geo-economical and geopolitical positions of Iran, it is necessary to develop integrated HRD programs to lead and manage this inevitable process. In this article, the possible HRD approaches investigated and analyzed. With emphasizing on the human resources, we studied the current situations of Iran in terms of different aspects of digital age and using a conceptual model assessed appropriate approaches of developing human resources for society of Iran with the aim of accelerating the speed of its growth and adaptation in the digital age
