Abstract
A computerized segmentation algorithm for detecting synchronized sympathetic nerve activity has been developed for cardiovascular neural control research. The algorithm consists of two signal processing techniques which involve: (1) discriminating a interval between onset and end of the synchronized sympathetic nerve activity from recorded compound action potentials and (2) separating individual synchronized sympathetic nerve activities by a cluster analysis. This algorithm can detect the synchronized sympathetic nerve activity automatically
