Abstract
This paper describes a PC-based control system for large hydropower projects. The data acquisition and control system (DACS) includes the design, installation and maintenance of new powerhouse automation equipment for four US Army Corps hydroelectric projects in the Northwest USA. The generic design is easily maintainable, scaleable and cost-effective. Future installations, at other Corps projects, will also benefit from this generic template
