Abstract
Components in power electronic converters have been typically connected using a wiring harness or custom laminated bus. Many design and manufacturing problems originate in the interconnect. To address this issue the concept of Coordinated Interconnect has been introduced. Coordinated Interconnect uses a bus connector to make the link between adjacent components. With a bus connector, the traditional screw terminals are replaced with tabs fastened by a spring steel clip. This paper describes a prototype bus connector and its electromagnetic performance as found from both measurement and finite element analysis
