Abstract
Personal communications services (PCS) are aimed at addressing the telecommunication needs of `people on the move´. The management of terminal, user, and network data is essential to providing ubiquitous PCS service. The authors identify PCS functions and the data required to support them for PCS wireless users. Local and remote access to PCS data, and the use of the Common Channel Signaling (CCS) network as a vehicle for communicating with network systems containing PCS databases are discussed within the context of the advanced intelligent network (AIN). Methods for locating PCS data and application protocols are identified
