Abstract
One of the main features of the digital silicon photomultiplier (dSiPM) is the ability to enable and disable individual cells of the sensor by reprogramming. This feature is normally used to disable noisy cells with high dark count rates to reduce the noise and dead time of the detector. In this work we show how this feature can be used to measure the light distribution of scintillation detectors with sub-pixel resolution by systematically enabling and disabling certain areas of the sensor.
