Abstract
In the paper, the level of service (LOS) of Transit system in Chicago is calculated and evaluated, in order to examine whether transit distributed equally. Two approaches----Transit Availability and Transit accessibility--- are applied to measure the transit LOS. Then a comparison of LOS to socioeconomic conditions (average vehicle ownership per household; the percent of household with no vehicle, the percent of alternative transportation modal share) is studied. Finally, some findings of the relationship between transit LOS and community socioeconomic conditions are summarized. The related recommendations are also listed at end.
