Abstract :
8 national and provincial highway were investigated in the middle of Shandong province, such as G22, G205, S236, S329, and so on, and the main unharmonious issues between cuts and environment were summarized. Moreover, the reasons of unharmonious issues were analyzed. New concepts were put forward that applied to the cut design of modern highway, such as the idea of integration engineering design and landscape design, the idea of creative design, the idea of dynamic design, the idea of integration engineering design and the ecological restoration design. A series of design countermeasures were put forward toward the harmony between cuts and environment, a new method of grading design of side slopes fitting roadside topography, a new method of creating ravine, the vegetation design based on nature restoring force, the vegetation harmony design along highway corridor, construction design of eliminating the traces of engineering. The research can be applied to the design of environmental engineering.
