Introduction to the EMC education and activities in Taiwan

The purpose of this paper is to summarize the current status of EMC educational and lab activities in Taiwan. EMC technology and technological development have become extremely popular study areas in Taiwan and in the meantime, pushed more and more products produced by Taiwan electronic industries to meet worldwide EMC standards such as the CE, FCC, VCCI, BCIQ, and C-Tick requirements. In this paper, we give a brief but clear picture on the intensive EMC training and academic research activities that have been organized and completed by the National Bureau of Standards, Bureau of Commodity Inspection and Quarantion (BCIQ) of Minister of Economic Affairs, the IEEE EMC chapter, the EMC laboratories at ERSO/ITRI (Electronic Research and Service Organization, Industrial Technology Research Institute), National Chao-Tung University, TEEMA (Taiwan Electric and Electronic Manufacturers´ Association) and many other EMC laboratories in Taiwan
