    Abstract-The catalyst of Fe2O3/Al2O3 was prepared by homogeneous precipitation method using AlCl3·6H2O, FeO3-6H2O and CO(NH2)2 as material, characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD). In the presence of Fe2O3/Al2O3, the microwave induced oxidation process (MIOP) was conducted for the treatment of synthetic methyl orange wastewater. The factors influencing color removal of methyl orange were investigated and the results showed that: under a given condition (catalyst dosage 2g/L, microwave power 900W, irradiation time 5 min, without adjusted to pH), the color removal efficiency of methyl orange (containing 20mg/L) approached 93.2%. The kinetics results show that the process of treatment accords to first order reaction .It provides an effective technology for the color removal of dye wastewater.
