  • Abstract
    In airborne bistatic radar the clutter Doppler is range dependent. STAP processor using training data from other range gate will experience widening of clutter notch. Widening of the clutter notch causes a major problem in detecting slow moving target. In this paper, Doppler compensation using interpolation in the angle-Doppler domain, for joint domain localised processor (JDL) is proposed. Comparison is made with Doppler compensated processor proposed by Kreyenkamp and Klemm (see IEE Proceedings: Radar, Sonar and Navigation, vol.148, no.5, p.253-58, 2001). Significant improvement in processor performance is observed across the whole frequency spectrum.
