Abstract
Artificial bee colony (ABC) algorithm has been proven to be a simple structure, easy to use, rapid convergence speed, and it can be effectively applied to the complex optimization problem. However, there are problem of premature convergence and difficulties escaping the local optimum. In order to avoid those disadvantages, we propose a new diversity strategy improved ABC algorithm. Diversity strategy can be balanced between exploring and exploiting. The experimental results show, the proposed methods raised the performance of ABC algorithm.
