Abstract :
The author presents a cell based, super low power CMOS crystal oscillator with no external components. this oscillator provides a typical dynamic current of 200 nano amps at 3.0 volts battery. The oscillator tuning is accomplished by programming the `on chips´ variable input capacitors. It is totally nonvolatile with over ten years of operation from a single 3.0 volt lithium battery. It has been fabricated in both 3 μ, p- well and 1.5 μ, n-well technologies
