Abstract
This article makes an attempt to analyze the most essential aspects connected with spam, which is regarded as a very serious threat to electronic messaging. Content-related core concentrates on outlining reliable picture of the situation in order to acquaint with theoretical basics of the phenomenon and the variety of remedial measures. It explains the definition, general division into functioning types and different techniques for detecting and avoiding the problem, including some preventive or defensive actions. A short overview of statistical data is also described. The main idea will be therefore to give technical hints on how to prevent negative results of uncontrollable flooding mailboxes with unwelcome contents.
