Abstract :
The injury on strips is one of universal phenomenon during transferring, which reduces finished product rate. That technical problem is waiting to be solved. The virtual prototyping model of the automatic vertical tong has been built up based on the MSC software ADAMS in this paper. The load and boundary conditions of components are used to build the finite element model obtained by static analysis. The affect factors of the stress distribution on strips are discussed through modifying the curvature of the jaw. At last, the mechanism about injury on strips is promulgated and the improvements about the jaw are proposed for increasing contact area and reducing contact pressure.
