Abstract :
The authors present a method of moments solution for the problem of two-dimensional time-harmonic scattering of a transverse-magnetic plane wave from a nonplanar periodic surface separating two contrasting homogeneous media. The suggested procedure is simple to implement, rapidly converging, and is applicable to smooth, but otherwise arbitrary, profiles. Perfectly conducting media are treated as reduced cases of the general procedure for penetrable media. Results obtained with a computer program developed using the above procedure are given and compared with available data.<>
