Abstract
Parametric models of rotors are constructed by Pro/E. Based on models and aiming at mixing effect, the structures of rotor in continuous mixers are optimized with the numerical simulation results of mixing analysis which are performed by finite element package Polyflow. Using this method, optimization analysis is performed for three kinds of length ratio of positive screw flight to negative screw flight in rotor of S style. The results showed that the mixing effect reach the best when the length ratio is 2:1.
