Abstract :
The net-TrialsTM clinical trials information system is an integrated data management system for collecting and reporting data on clinical trials sponsored by the National Cancer Institute´s (NCI´s) Center for Cancer Research (CCR). The development and implementation of net-Trials is an ongoing process, with the expectation that all functions will be implemented within the next two to three years. As an enabler of clinical research, net-Trials replaces the many stand-alone data management systems used in the past with a single system which is accessible at any time from anywhere. net-Trials offers numerous benefits to cancer researchers, physicians and patients, because it unifies systems, processes and data to facilitate clinical trial participation. net-Trials users collaborate by transmitting and receiving clinical trials data from a secure central database
